    Small talk, story telling, is the little room where these people retract to forget about the inevitable end.

  • I am a bit perplexed by your use of the word "gift".

    To me it implies a "giver"

    In a cosmic sense the universe is callously indifferent to whatever you might consider a "gift" in your life, be it your car, your ambitions, and even your life.
