Rapture: Fact or Fiction?

Many pastors and modern prophecy writers teach that the Church will be raptured off the earth prior to a seven year tribulation. Where in the Bible is this found? Nowhere. Confused? Watch this edition of Vantage Point for an honest look at the "rapture".

Mr. DeMar. I wonder how many people might come to the Lord if you emphasized the more Gospel and less time degrading those you do not agree with. You clearly spend much time and money fighting the subject of the end times more than you do with more important things like winning souls to the Lord. To think you actually have a cruise just for the purpose of attacking those that hold to a belief in the Rapture. When people are standing before Christ being sent to hell, what will you say to them.

@11914386 Disagreeing, debating and pointing out errors does not constitute degrading or attacking. In fact, faulty eschatology causes many to turn away from Christ. Gary touches on this subject in the video "American Athiests Planning Rapture Party" starting at 7:18.

Also about 1/3 of the Bible is prophetic so that means it is important to God and we should study it. Prophecy is given as proof that the word of God is real and no other holy book has a 100% batting average like the Bible. DeMar just parrots what others teach. He has nothing original in his teaching.

@TheCannonofMohammed If you read his articles you would see that DeMar is not as diplomatic as he his with a video that will be seen by the public. And just because someone like Darby believed in the Rapture does not mean it is not correct. Using that line of logic, we could say that when the Reformation declared we were saved by Grace alone, by Faith alone and by Christ alone is incorrect since the Church had not been teaching it for hundreds of years. I don't think this dude is attacking anyone; quite to the contrary, he is respectfully trying to bring clarity to an issue that causes the world to mock the church. Christians have been thinking they are going to be raptured ever since Darby started his dispensational thing. Whats the matter with living and dying and going to heaven? Sounds pretty cool to me.

If I had them all memorized, I could present about 10 different bible facts that would show how incorrect his post rapture theorie is. The PreTrib R is seen especially when you use the correct meaning of some of the Greek words & grammar in the verses he uses which are not interpreted correctly.

Does God have the Holy Spirit in both the Jews of Israel & the Church at the same time as would happen in EZK 39:29? if he is correct? Since the Church is indwelt with the HS in this AGE, & GOD pours out his HS into Israel at the end of the EZK war, it seems that to do that the Church must B removed out of the way so HS is free to work on Israel using the 2 wittiness & the 144,000 from Israel as the Church will not be here as a wittiness to the world as we are now. Why would GOD not use us also

this bird sets up Stawmen, then supposedly knocks them down. What a joke. There are no single verses that teach the Trinity either but as Christians we believe the Bible teaches a Trinity. His excuses to destroy the PreTrib Rapture are very weak and shallow & ignore so many other facts like some of the Greek words used in many of the verses he claims do not teach the Rapture. I hope the LORD leaves him here to enjoy the Trib. Q. Does the Lord have the HSpirit in both the Christians & the jews?

the pretrib rapture is false doctrine read 2 thess2 the falsechrist comes first. the antichrist will deceive many christians into thinking he is the real Christ that is why this doctrine must be proven false or alot of well meaning christians are going to worship the antichrist

The theology of a post tribulation rapture is also IMPLICIT. Not Explicit. Nowhere in the bible is the exact timing stated, but there are verses however that seem to indicate what that timing is, depending of course on how you read the bible.

Our own individual 'rapture' will occur within the next 80 years for most of us. That is the day we leave this earth and enter the permanent life. What is the use of looking for deliverance when life is already rather short ?
