  • just for your guys' information, I saw them live about a month back. This was the one song they played off of S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and guess what? Ben slapped the shit out of that bass and it sounded fantastic. Sooooo quit your complaining! This was back when he had just joined so he was probably either a bit intimidated or he wanted to try and show that he could make it his own rather than worry about having to just be a copycat.

  • all the best DJ's are in rock bands. true story

  • ehh i like the acoustic version better. so groovy and smooth..

  • @henrytod looooool hahahahaha, I'm drummer :(

  • @juandiegometal456 your slap is poor.

  • @SJBsack was it in miami? because i went to see them in miami in september and they also only played this from SCIENCE.

  • @SJBsack Ben Kenney is a BAWS! Awesome player, met him at a gig on the weekend and got giddy like a 13 year old school girl.

  • Ben is shit, his slap is poor.

  • @mastroplay I've heard everything from his solo work and I've heard him with The Roots... outstanding musician and composer... he's a big inspiration to me! :)

  • @HellsterBG Yes I've read it too, and I've seen also a video of Mike playing Speak Free (which I think is the most difficult of his line) during a soundcheck this year, so I think really that Dirk didn't write anything... Well, Ben is also a great composer and a complete musician, if you look for his solo albums, you'll see him playing guitar, bass, drums and singing... He was also guitar player for the Roots... Great musician!

  • @mastroplay Yeah, I saw it... and I agree with you on Dirk and Ben.. it's just that Ben's sound gets more to me. Dirk really does more complex stuff, but I read/watched somewhere that all of the bass lines were composed by Mike, Dirk just played them.
