Had nothing to do with slicks on back and radials on front, when you run junk stock front suspension this can happen. When you let of the gas at the end all the weight transfered to the front tires and didnt leave enough weight on the rear to keep the tires planted to the track. This is why race shocks were invented. 90/10 shocks for instance. 10% restriction going up, 90% restriction going down. Helps slow the transfer of weight to front.

wow... amazing that car folded up like it did. you're lucky to survive. but I agree, I doubt it was the slicks/radial combination. I have run slicks on th eback of my 99 trans am on the track then driven about 50 miles home on the street with them at highway speeds. while I did feel some "wandering" in the rear, I had no dramatic effects

DAMN man, that's a hard hit. Didn't look THAT bad in the wicked low quality video. Hope you're ok.

ET drag slicks, not radials. I have heard people talk about what you are saying before but myself and quite a few others that i know run radials on the front and have not had problems. My car is a 93' Mustang with a 440 cu inch small block. By the way i do not mean to offend you and if i did i am sorry.
Well good for you DonJ35 - your setup must allow you to get away with it. I am glad you have done all of the research to compare the two setup which has proven this fact is actually a myth. It must have been me steering the car all over the road then, because the slicks were the only factor that was changed and if it couldn't have been them...... Oh, and you didn't mention if your Mickey Ts are radial or conventional slick?
