Launch control on the B8 Audi S4 s-tronic

So I was over at Raven Motorsports today to pickup my spacers. I got into a conversation with Matt about launch control. He told me he knows how to do it. I assumed it was so ghetto way, but then when he took me through it I realized it was actual launch control. He told me it was a big secret but I managed to convince him to let me share it with the world. So...but props to him and Raven motorsports.

@krunko do you know if the 2010 s4 also has launch control? im on the used market looking forward to buy a german sports sedan. So im trying to decide between the 335i and the s4. I seen the launch control thing and is just awsome. I feel like the s4 is better in every way. have you beaten any 335i on drags?

I dont have launch control, My S4 is a 2001 :( But One day I will have a new one!!

@denis2929 @krunko i used to do 12mpg, nowI do about 19 to 20mpg after the APR ECU chip and I got 400hp.

Holy shit i almost broke my neck at take off. I wasn't expecting all that power. It's like a freaking slingshot!

I think it only works with drive select. A friend that has an S4 tried it and it didn't work.

I'll check the 0-60 times. I got my S5 cabrio at 4.9 sec. Launch control will probably bring it down to 4.5 or less

@denis2929 How many miles does it do?

Holy shit... not many. I get between 150 and 230 miles, depending on how I drive my S5 Sportback. It uses the same engine. My old Audi A4 2.0 TFSI S-Line Special Edition DTM 220 got between 300 and 380 miles, depending on how much I thrashed it.

You can use launch control without using drive select or going into manual mode. Far more straight forward than the long list of stuff this guy does.

1. Press traction control off

2. Select S on the auto box

3. Build up the revs with left foot on the break

4. Release the break and woosh.
