Thanks! I wish we had Victory Day celebrations in the USA. Believe it or not, I went the entire day of VE day (Victory in Europe day), which for us is 08 May. Not one word on the news about any observances in honor of our WWII veterans. The only recognition I saw of any US veteran was of an old American US Army veteran who was visiting in Siberia. He was interviewed by VESTI.

  • It would be nice to see the Russian army parading next to the american army

  • no parade in whole world can match tahe pride and glory of russian victory parade

    salute from oldfriend

    republic of india

  • be nice for some English translation, let the world understand why this celebration is important to Russia : )

  • プーチン!プーチン!

  • In the U.S. we have Memorial Day from the Civil War & Veterans Day from WWI. I remember marching in the old Memorial Day parade here in my little town, all dressed up in my Boy Scouts uniform. Always we went up the hill to where the old Civil War veterans (GAR) tombs were all together. Thus Memorial Day is our central day for honoring veterans.

  • no worries, it's still watchable ;)

  • I agree with you, but if you read carefully, I said "The troops, before saying "Ura!, GREET him back, which is DIFFICULT to translate". Besides, sometimes literal translation makes more sense than figurative one. Peace.

  • They say "Greetings, comrade Minister of Defense". "Sanity" would be literal translation, therefore, it is inaccurate
