Three parts of a Sept. 30, 1992 broadcast: Aaron Brown, the "Dean of Overnight Anchors", reports on Earvin (Magic) Johnson's first comeback attempt and pennant-race baseball (watch for the "Cliche Meter" a running prop in the early days of "WNN").
Next, Aaron and Lisa McRee spotlight newspaper headlines in the "Today's Papers" segment. I believe "World News Now" still does this today, and Aaron Brown did a similar segment on his old CNN program.
And lastly, the "Video Feedback" segment, where viewers' phone messages (and videos, occasionally) are aired.

Back in 1982, when CBS Nightwatch premiered, they attempted what the late Christopher Glenn wrote off as "the unheard of". They allowed viewers to call newsmakers while on the air to voice themselves.
