  • no, not necessarily. there are two kinds of soy sauce: dark and light. light is what is commonly found in non-Asian stores and is very salty and doesn't add much color. dark, which is what he used here, is not terribly salty, but is valued more for its soy flavor and the dark color it imparts, which is what Kai was going for. i doubt the dish he made was overly salty.

  • Man Kai can cook so good ! I love watching his videos !

  • Awesome.

  • Kai your cooking videos have saved me from my hunger as a poor college student!

  • Thanks for the videos. You don't marinate the beef in anything?

  • Great video...good job

  • God that looks so good.

  • @KingSparta2 OK thanks for your help, I personally don't use a rice cooker just boil in a pot but I shall try your method, cheers.

Well For Fried Rice I Cook My Rice In A Pan, Not A Rice Cooker, And Add Extra Water When It Is About Done I Take I Out A Bit Early, And Rinse It. This Will Get Off Most Of The Starch. Then I Fry It Like He Did In The Video. It Comes Out All the Time For Me this Way. I Do Have A Rice Cooker But Only Use That For Other Rice Dishes More So Ones Where I Am Going To Use Chop Sticks.

  • @KingSparta2 No I've been cooking rice for many years without any probs, just this particular dish went awry, I'll just have to keep practising.

  • @Dibby59

Thats Prob Because You Did Not Cook Your Rice Correctly.
