This is when I worked offshore. Might be boring to ya'll, you just have to be there. We were 200 miles out when a Northerner started blowing in. Winds were already hitting 45 knots.

  • I start next week (green as I can be) out of Freeport tx. Thx for this vid. I've been in rough water before, but for short periods of time while fishing close to shore.. My only worry is getting sick in these conditions!... Any tips?

  • @Michaelred73 Yes. stay away from sodas and greasy foods. Eat stuff like peanut butter, cheese and crackers etc...

  • Where is this?

  • who's giving the lecture?

  • Not boring at all!! Brings back a lot of memories of the Eastern Gulf of Mexico! This is what it is like when you are at the wheel, underway and it is too rough to have the autopilot on. Using your compass to stay on course the best you can. Thanks for this video (from a former mariner)
