Thanks for that. Obviously coyotes wouldn't be repelled by simple blood.

But the blood aspect works well on people; when I was a child my mother encountered a horned lizard in our garage (near San Diego CA) and it squirted blood on her, shocked her so much she ran off and left it alone.
