At the end of the year, Beethoven's symphony #9 is often performed and listened to in Japan.
This 27th performance with the chorus of 10,000 people "Suntory Presents Beethoven's 9th with a Cast of 10000" was held at Osaka-jō Hall in Osaka, Japan in 2009 as is held every first Sunday in December.
Most of the ten thousand singers are amatures.
