This is a quick tutorial on how to setup a Godaddy email account with Microsoft Outlook 2007. I used to work at Godaddy and fielded many calls each day for this one subject. I decided I would make a video on how it's done and hopefully help some people out.

  • Thanx so much!!

  • @xxxLesslyxxx You;re very welcome. :)

  • I have done all of this, I can receive emails but not send them. could this be a router issue?

  • @markstruemind Try SMTP outgoing port 80 or 3535.

  • @PlanetKnit

Hey mate, I have tried both of these to no avail.

Send test email message: The server responded 553, sorry.

Any idea's? No offense godaddy are shithouse. Never should have stuck with them.

  • @ReviewsRevealed - I am sorry to hear that you tried both port numbers to no avail. I wouldn't be able to tell you anything new beyond the information found here other than to call GoDaddy Support. But seeing how you think they are a "shithouse", I don't see that happening. :P

  • My GoDaddy account and Outlook have been set up for over a year now...recently I started losing emails out of my folders. I'll click on a folder and it says empty when only yesterday there were hundreds in the folder. GoDaddy says I need to check the mapping but wouldn't support me with this issue. Any ideas?

  • how are you with godaddy outlook IMAP and ongoing of keeping 2 computers sync'd?

  • Worked like a charm. Thanks!

  • This was very valuable but I think the BIGGEST issue that trips people up is the port numbers. So I have no idea - I know we've tried 80 and 3535, and not checked SSL too. How am I supposed to figure out what my incoming and outgoing is? I tried "Use Defaults" and I tried

  • @PlanetKnit well I got a solution, the problem was that my internet provider only uses port 25 apparently. I ended up getting everything working but I had to change the outgoing smtp. Also had to ignore godaddys request for authentication for outgoing smtp
