The Secret to a Happy Ending documents the Drive-By Truckers and their congregation of fans as they explore tales of human weakness and redemption. Filmmaker Barr Weissman followed the band during three critical years of touring and recording — years in which the band struggles to overcome the trauma of divorce and survives a near breakup. Secret combines band interviews, behind-the-scenes footage on the road and in the studio, along with legendary live performances. Reflective of the band's roots in Alabama and Georgia, the film explores the changing American South — its tangled past and strange beauty.

There is alot that does not make sense in the world. Its not supposed to. I used to have the same complaint about Little Feat and forty years later, minus two original members, they can still pack a house. Take Heart StupidShinigami, DBT is just where their supposed to be.
I am an old guy and have done mixes for some of the original "Southern Rockers". Some known, some unknown. I am impressed with DBT and look forward to hearing them live. TCB

@StupidShinigami DBT isnt for the numb brained fucking morons that listen to 1 liner songs with a pop base drum beat. So my only conclusion is as moronic as the public is to the condition of this country and backdoor politics is the same they are to DBT. If you don't love DBT Your a Pussy! :)
My mom would be proud...

I find a great deal of injustice in the World, that an amazing band like this is nowhere near as famous as Rebecca Black! It makes no sense.

Damn I cannot wait until this dvd & my vinyl copy of Go-Go Boots comes in the mail in a few weeks. No band has ever touched my soul like the Truckers. Patterson singing A World Of Hurt at the beginning & end of the vid- wow what a song! It brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it- in both a sad & happy way. Such an amazing song from such an amazing songwriter. Only 2 more weeks till I get to see them live again & I can't frigging wait!

If there's another band with more heart, soul & down right truth to their music playing out there right now. I sure haven't seen or heard them. (Rock-n-Roll+True Life) x Amazing Talent = Drive-By Truckers!!!!

Less than 2 weeks left until my copy arrives on my doorstep! AMAZING film! Best damn documentary EVER.
Don't remember Patterson playing 'A World of Hurt' on his acoustic when I saw the film in Columbus. He played 'Bulldozers and Dirt' and 'The Living Bubba,' but I don't remember this one. Hopefully, this means the DVD comes with outtakes and footage not used in the documentary.

2:13 That quote from Byron "Come for the golf, stay for the caner", is that a quote from Byron Wilkes I assume? He and I were very close, miss him a lot.
He told me he went to some of your recording sessions just to hang out, will be he in this documentary?
