This is great!
We need a whole series of first-person ADHD films, to help people understand it from the "inside."
-
Very true. Im all up for making some of those films! We need to def make others more aware of ADD.

@PeterPanGodzillaFan I've found that a distraction like TV or radio on at low volume so I really have to focus to hear it helps me sleep.
-
Indeed XD
-
I've learned to go to bed about half an hour before I need to be asleep, to let my mind do its thing...
-
I'm glad it works for you! There is that catch-22 of forgetting to take your medicine that will help you focus on things like remembering to take your medicine...
-
What did they say once you showed this to them?
-
I realized that presenting a seven and a half minute long video to an ADD audience is probably not the best idea, haha...
-
You're right. This is a very one-sided video, as I am only speaking to my experience. I am sure that there are many individuals who go on to be more successful once put on medication, and are happier for it. I am completely open to that idea. Perhaps you can make the next video and show us!

Having a busy mind does not make one stupid. I'm no good at tennis, but I imagine it takes a lot of work and can be stressful, and perhaps all the thoughts whizzing by is just your body's way of dealing with that.
Really good video. Thanks. I'm working my way through the meds myself. I'm trying bupropion (wellbrutin /zyban)at the moment. So far I'm only getting marginal improvement in focus so I don't know if it's worth it. But with this med I haven't had any diminishing of my ability to have fun, goof off, play pranks, get sudden inspiration etc. I don't know which I am , but there are clearly people for whom meds work to improve their lives just as there are clearly people for whom they just don't. thnx

Thanks for the comments! I had not heard of that medication before, but it sounds great for people with ADD! Hopefully it works the same way for many more people who need it.

I didn't think anyone would recognize the area! I don't think ADD itself can be fixed; the medications only deal with the symptoms. Although, I don't believe it is something that needs "fixing," unless it begins to seriously impede someone's ability to function on a daily basis.
