  • @sosome57 no, definatelly not since the guitar wasn't around in his time (the baroque guitar is very small and with only five double courses (actually 4 double 1 single), but he liked the lute so much he had one and also was experimenting on some kinds of other keyboard instruments with different sounds and qualities than harpsichord

  • @sosome57 I doubt about this particular piece, but Bach has arranged a lot for lute. It probably means he liked how his works sound on lute.

  • Ah, the Romeros! A guitar playing dynasty. Angel is good. I think I used to have this on CD, but that's gone.

    Bach always sounds good on guitar. Wonder if he ever heard any of his stuff played on guitar and, if so, I wonder what he thought.
