I never really got why Vellu falls apart during trick battles.. His video's prove him to be spectacular, but when he goes into a battle, he cant hit the big tricks (excluding brandy double back).. Guthrie won this, im just glad they did it for fun

I teach at lga (lawrence gymnastic athletes) and heard rumors in open gym that guthrie started training at lga. Well over his christmas break (this wednesday) guess who I ran into at my gym. Funny thing was he didn't throw any corks till I aske.d him to. His gf was there too, talent she was good.

in battles vellu has already tricked his heart out in the many hours before the battles actually begin so he's already tired. But if you see in the video it's obvious that michael tricked more consistantly, but in some moments of this video, vellus true unearthly brilliance shines through. In the combo's where he truly hit the mark the crowd went crazier than they did for anything guthrie did.

@3rundisciple I know this comment is super old. But if you look at all the recent gathring footage from Vellu (Giga, Panda, Tampere) he proves that he is VERY consistent with all of the hard tricks. Maybe he was just having one of those days where you can't land anything, you know what I mean? After all, it was his first Loopkicks Gathering. :D
