Economic Collapse: Obama Slaps China With Tariff! BIG TROUBLE

http://econochristian.com China says it strongly opposes President Obama's decision to impose punitive tariffs on imports of car and light truck tires. It says it is protectionism that violates World Trade Organization rules.
Free trade was tried before, from 1850 to 1914 just before WW1 broke out. Could we be heading for another world war?

Actually the Chinese has no choice but to buy our Treasury bond. So I am not too worry about the Chinese trying to dump Treasury bonds. They have tried it in 2010 already and they have failed. "free trade" is not what we want... "fair trade" is. China is ripping off America. The way I see is, China is peddling "economic cracks" with cheap / bad products into US market. The more we buy from "made in china", the more we destroy our own economy. Don't buy "made in china".

Some top economists argue however its only good to tarrif countries that don't follow free trade properly such as China pegging its currency against the US which makes the US compete on an uneven playing base by following free trade.

Also tarifs can make industries inefficient and results in a flow of money ot these industries and government.

Efficient industries however suffer because they pay more for imports.

If tariffs are placed, by demand it will encourage the creation of more jobs in America and reduce unemployment. Even some economic experts agree.

But it will take sometime before it takes full effect.

The European union is also planning on doing the same.

Free trade is necessary. Capitalism (unlike socialism) is based on making profits. That's what makes the economy grow!
