I like this 1st Sgt. I like the fact that he doesn't scream his commands. He has a nice tone, great posture, and he plyed it properly with straight eights. About the length though...A Fermata is a Fermata. A Fermata that is too long is often 'rotten' this cat's Fermata is simply well aged. however

Not a problem. There is no rule as to how long it's to be played. But it's not to be rushed-I agree. Bummer about the note-I've been there....

nice.. one of the longest Taps I've heard-I minute and 17 seconds...
And thanks for using the USAF Band arrangement of God of Abraham. I happen to know the arranger :)

I would have used your arrangement of "Going Home", but the piper had already played it!
The 1st Sgt who is the bugler in the video is known for his long notes. I've heard ministers comment on how beautifully he plays Taps when he holds the whole note long.
NOTE TO NEW BUGLERS: Don't rush it!
I do feel bad that the one time I was recording him that he cracked a note. His usual performance is flawless. Even just 30 min before this he played for another service and it was perfect.
