O I feel so sorry for Sumi here!!, yeah it's human nature to forget things, like words to a song & I'm sure it's happened to great opera singers. I heard it happened to Montserrat Caballe during multiple incidents, but it's so shameful and pathetic to see Sumi an otherwise skillful technician of this type of coloratura soprano music, fail miserably. "how can wordly things take advantage of me ? how can they..take advantage of me ? LOL LOL
A very disappointing performance from Sumi Jo. There's no excuse for forgetting her words, most of the queens in the audience knew them all. Her top notes are also a bit shrill to say the least. And as for the band.... what on earth is the oboist on?
We need to concern that Su Mi Cho is a opera singer while Chenoweth is a musical singer. They are in a similar, but different field of the performance still.
This is a performing art, and people have different taste. This song illustrates the complicated heart of Cunegonde. Cunegonde lost her identity, and seeks comforts from jewelry. Su Mi Cho sang in a very classical way, while Chenoweth sang in a very expressive, bright way. Art is not something that we can say 'correct' or 'wrong'. One can say I like one over the other, but both singers are super talented and professional enough to create their own styles.
<3 her. didn't notice the mistake at first lmao

No, not more dramatic... more acted. This song is a coloratura soprano aria. A non classical singer CANNOT sing this.

Su Mi Cho sings it in a very classical way (in this case hers is not drama...) but Kristen's is more dramatic. That's all.
