yeah - NBA defenses (and even NCAA defenses) are getting pretty complicated. increasingly, teams mix zone- and man-principles for hybrids like the Matchup Zone which gives teams fits.
if Doc Rivers had a younger roster (and it looks like he will soon enough) the Celtics would be so good. and he still managed to build a great defense with 2 starters (Paul Pierce and Ray Allen) not traditionally known for their defense!

Do you have an opinion on why the C's dont run this kind of defense this year? I wanted to see this with lee Bradley green bass and kg. I know Bradley and lee put full press a lot, but they don't press with pierce or green helping out
