This ad was made by my friends and me for an English project. It was intended to be a spoof of 1920s silent films and had to be an ad for a product of the time. I know that there were no televisions in the 1920s, but we decided to take liberties. We chose Coca-Cola and this was the result. Enjoy!

P.S. I know the bad guy's a girl. The other guy in our group was videotaping with his recorder. He enjoys recording better than acting. And he did a great job so we ain't complaining. Savy?

The music used in this film were from various silent films such as (in order):
*Our Dancing Daughters (1928)
*The Battleship Potemkin (1927)
*The Kid (1921)
*Ella Cinders (1928)
*The Battleship Potmekin (1927) (another portion of music)
*It (1927)

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the aforementioned films in anyway and am in no part associated with Coca-Cola or any soft drink company whatsoever. Thank you.

Thank you! I know it's a dorky high school project, but I'm still freaking happy with it :P

  • hi, what function did u use in windows movie maker to nake it an oldie ?

  • @tomapel77 I honestly can't remember. We used the old Windows Movie Maker before it became Windows Live Movie Maker. We put a black and white filter on and then there was a grain effect that was added as well. However, I don't think there's an equivalent with Live :S

  • Wait a minute! This isn't a 1920's Coke Ad. It's a 1920's Pepsi Ad. They just switched it to Coke. Thought they could fool me!

  • We would have loved to see the bad guy win!

  • @RennyGd Then she was quite wealthy!

  • Well, of course there weren't TVs in those days but newsreel footage in movie theaters would be interspersed with ads, so you still were right on the money here.
