The Canadian war on ART? or just media insensitivity.

Thanksgiving 2001 the Canadian museum of Civilization suddenly and without reservation cancels a long planned show of Islamic themed art.
Our PM Jean Chretien made even me proud that day.
Understanding and exposure to the culture is shut down instead of shown as creative as any other culture. Lack of positive muslim stories quickly became the formula of ctv and CBC after sept 11th. I will post some additional archived clips for historic perspective. It is well known personalities and cultural guest speakers were paid in US as a way to combat t"terror" so did the Canadian media get to choose the "guests" it had? Serious questions for a democracy.

This may have been intended to anger Canadian muslims and that would be disturbing knowing the feelings of those Canadians at such a sensitive time would be disregarded. Punishment? who called to pull the show? that is the question never answered.
