  • If the Noble Lie is the 'special drug to [...] put over the rule of philosophy on these people' ('these people' meaning you and I, of course) which Plato speaks of, then, surely, friends, Marijuana is the antidote.

  • @JonathanSMorris - Dude, i like the way you think.. =) Cannabis, DMT, even Psilocybin... All stimulate an awakening of consciousness, and are thus rendered illegal by those who are threatened by a global awakening of consciousness. The "War on Drugs" is another aspect of the Noble Lie to be covered in a future episode of WYBM... Thanks for watching, and for your feedback, Jonathon!

  • Oh, I see. This series is about how we are all the same. No wonder it felt like all the same crap from mass media, this series is strictly about yuppies talking to yuppies. yuppies saving yuppies. yup.

  • @DeniseMatteau - Apathy, complacency & uncertainty are our biggest enemies, in my opinion. The fact we have become deceived by the Noble Lie and are willing to defend it - it is a prison for our mind. Our lack of discernment and methodology of critical thinking allows the yuppie elites to control us, so we just need to learn that methodology to give us a Virus Scanner for our minds.. Then we will stop being batteries for their system, and take our own power back! =)

  • @huskavarna stfu you brainwshed pothead

  • I haven't made up my mind about the "planned obsolescence" topic, but something seems a little bullshity about it... It seems like it should lead to critical questions...

    .

By the way, this documentary is awesome!

  • What about fashion? Isn't fashion a type of "planned obsolescence" that is inherent in markets? If a company anticipates trends, shouldn't they build a product that will suit the length of that trend, or should they focus on making it last a hundred years?

    .

I'm just saying we should take into account, what consumers actually WANT. They make light bulbs that last extremely long times but they're pretty damn expensive. Someone wants them, most buy much cheaper (lower quality) alternative...

  • Is the idea of "planned obsolescence" really economically sound? If companies actively reduce the life or quality of a product, isn't there a powerful incentive for the next company to exploit that by pointing it out or just making their product last longer?

    .

And I don't want to spend tons of money on a computer that will last 40 years because mine will be obsolete in 7 years. Most of us can't afford a diesel Mercedes... We're lucky there Hyundais to buy much cheaper.

    .

    continued...

  • i wish all 28 thousand of us would just tear down their news buildings and stampede over these crooked "news" reporters!

  • Lol at Bill's blowup. XD

  • @huskavarna I have a great number of friends that are regular drug users...mostly just smoke weed...and although their 'minds have been opened' to the truth...they are just as, if not more so, complacent to the way things are. The difference...well..something like this..before, they were getting f&^cked in the ass and didn't know it. Now, they are being f&^cked in the ass, know it, and just don't care enough to do anything about it because they believe it's futile to try and make a difference.

  • @huskavarna I'd have to agree and disagree with this theory...yes drugs may 'open your mind'....but only if used in moderation or short duration. It would be like taking cough medicine to get rid of a cough...and then continuing to take it even after the cough has subsided. You might say...continuous use is a preventative measure...but that would only make sense if after your mind had been open, you would suffer loss of memory if you quit taking drugs. to be continued...
