I remember working a contracting job in Downey where I commuted daily to/from El Segundo last summer on my motorcycle. On my commute home westbound on the 105, I remembered entering the freeway feeling the 85 degree heat at the Lakewood Blvd on-ramp, but as I rode westward, the temperature would start to drop until I reached the western terminus and it would only be 65.

I run the I-10 video next to this and mute this one, I like the music on most of your videos, but this song was slightly disappointing.
Still enjoyed the ride!

Thanks for the video, they're very well done. I have a fear of driving on freeways so I'm using your videos as a way to get over it. Thanks!

Only bad thing I noticed about the carpool in California, is your bound to run into someone going obnoxiously slow. Slower than the flow of the general lanes.

At 0:53 there was the house the early Metallica used for the very first rehearsals back in 1981. It was owned by bass player McGovney's dad; he let his son and the other band members live & play there because the house was soon due to be demolished for the I-105. Love your videos, by the way.

LOL I love how you get all "ga-ga" over the interchanges Brent, it's cute and funny. :)

I left my wallet in El Segundo ( summer 1990).
If you had someone sitting next to you throughout the ride, would you be taking the carpool lane or the outside lanes?

@damonkey6969: You can choose either, or. That's the luxury of being in a carpool.

@Nambriz13: I do have some footage of Bakersfield's freeway system, but they're on my old camcorder, which was a rather poor choice regarding image stabilization. I will probably put that footage together sometime soon, and upload it to my brand new alternative YouTube site; FreewayBrentLite.
