Dr. Ross Hauser of Caring Medical & Rehabilitation Services in Oak Park, Illinois explains his Prolotherapy technique as an effective chronic pain treatment, and if the injections hurt. Prolotherapy is an injection technique that stimulates the body to repair the painful area. It is most often used for non-surgical arthritis treatment, sports injury treatment, ACL tear, meniscus tear, labral tear treatment, herniated or bulging disc treatment, hip pain treatment, back pain treatment, neck pain treatment, shoulder pain treatment, cartilage regeneration and repair. • I currently get trigger point injections and actually enjoy the pain because i know the result will be good!

  • In my case it worked really good on my knees. I fell off a horse in 2003 and hit my knees very strong. Went to physiotherapy and took pain medication (iboprufen, naproxen) but the pain remained for more than 3 years until I found a doctor who performed 2 sessions, in 2006. He explained the important role inflammation has on the production of colagen to repair the ligaments, tendons and meniscus so after the treatment he said not to take anti-inflammatories. Almost unbelieveble but it works

  • I was done 2 sessions of prolotherapy on both of my knees in 2006 and so far so good. This doctor was from San Diego and I think he said he got the certification with you. In my case I was in pain for 3 years when I finally knew about this treatment. Before the prolo shots Dr. Frank inyected me xylocaine. 30 minutes after I started to feel in pain and started to feel numbness on the treated area, and later couldn´t walk. I knew I couldn´t talk any ibuprofen or naproxen, no pain no gain
