Psychedelic Pop Top 40 At Its Finest in RARE STEREO From This Classic Nugget By The "Avant-Garde" In 1968. I Especially Like The "Anxious" Bass Line, The Blatant Pillage Of The James Bond/007 Riff And The Aggressive "Tough Guy" Vocals. Clocking In At Just Over 2 Minutes Long, "Naturally Stoned" Was Perfect For Both Hippies And The Establishment!

That is a great little pop record that deserves to be more widely known. Bravo, Chuck!

@pannoni1 Don't forget that Bert Convy was a member of The Cheers, a group that had a big hit with "Black Denim Trousers" in 1955.

@StanBennet No, the melody is from the original James Bond opening sequence which was used all the way back in 1962 for Dr. No and every movie after that.

I might be wrong, but I think this came before the James Bond use of this. In fact - Bond 77 from 1977 is much later than this. My preliminary guess -- the Bond people have more explaining to do than these guys.

I also have Merv Griffin and Wink Martindale records in my collection!

IMO an overlooked smash. Some of the harmonies remind me of Barefoot in Baltimore by the Strawberry Alarm Clock. This has been a tough song to find. Thanks for posting.
