Let's Colour Project - Walls Are Dancing, le clip officiel

http://www.wallsaredancing.fr - Trois artistes, trois murs, trois villes.

Cet été, nous avions invité le mural painter américain MWM ( http://mwmgraphics.com ) à produire une série de performances de peinture en public sur des murs de Marseille, Lyon et Paris. Le collectif de réalisateurs Le Groupuscule a capturé chaque étape de son travail, rassemblant plus de 700.000 photos des fresques. Ces photos ont ensuite été montées, image par image, sur un morceau inédit de Monsieur Monsieur ( http://www.myspace.com/monsieurmonsieurmusic ) : "Walls Are Dancing", pour créer ce clip.

Cette collaboration inédite entre 3 disciplines artistiques pour faire danser des murs s'inscrit dans le cadre des projets Let's Colour (http://www.letscolourproject.com).

Directors Le Groupuscule captured the evolution of each mural, gathering over 700,000 pictures, that were edited to an unreleased track by Monsieur Monsieur ( http://www.myspace.com/monsieurmonsieurmusic ): "Walls Are Dancing", to create this music video.

This collaboration of 3 artistic disciplines to make walls dance is part of the Let's Colour Project. (http://www.letscolourproject.com).

can I ask what techniques you used for editing? is it just stop and motion? or there's an after effects treatment as well?

Hi @frameaddict

Most of the clip is ‘pure’ stop motion animation based on all the pictures taken during the painting events. A few sequences were created in After Effects (but always using actual shapes painted on the walls by MWM during the painting performances). Hope that answers your question :)

Wow. Boulevard in Gdynia is really grey space. It will be very interesting if somebody will draw on him for example blue waves of the sea.
