  • @shalindriaharam Okay, perhaps we don't need to call him a "bad person", just a dishonest and manipulative lying one.

  • @reverendjohnsloan1 Shutup, you are not helping the case for Thomas. Pretty sure if you had this "knowledge" that it would come with humility, I don't think this "knowledge" is something one can boast about. Perhaps you are only trying to make Thomas followers look bad? Stop typing in caps.

  • Christian & non-Christian New Testament scholars date Thomas in the last 2nd century & date Matthew, Mark, & Luke between 58-62 AD & John between 90-95 AD, because of that Thomas not based on eyewitness account.

  • @PianoPlayer58 He may have been symbolizing equal in spirit by this, as much of the Bible holds woman very secondary to man.

  • Thomas was written between 50-140AD, most likely before the cannonised Gospels.

What has the evangelists upset is the fact that The Gospel of Thomas has Yeshua saying that he is within us and there is no need for clergy. He's afraid his 2000 year old gravy train might come to a halt if people deal directly with Jesus and the Holy Spirit and cut out the middle man. Kind of a religious "Downsizing". As a Gnostic Christian, I even perform my own Euchasrist in my home.

  • He's making a lop sided estimate with the 175 to 200 A.D. All the estimates I've heard place Thomas around the first century because the copy we have was Greek translation of an earlier original.

  • Most Scholars date the Gospel of Thomas as one of, if not the earliest writings about Jesus.

Those who misinterpret saying 114 have no understanding of the time and culture in which it was written.

This Lee Strobel has no idea. It seems he would rather follow a brand of Chrisianity based on willful mass deception.

  • Thank you for posting this. I was wondering about this thomas "Gospel"

  • It's referenced in C.E. 180. Meaning it was at leasted written in the early 2nd century if not earlier. It was highly popular in egypt and was referenced by church fathers... Lee is just putting out flak here.

  • @PianoPlayer58 @PianoPlayer58 Whats wrong with what Christ said? did you understand? if Christ follow everything that was giving to him by God, then what does that make him? then if we souls follow what God gave Christ, then what does that makes us? Christ did not preach to the Flesh for the Flesh is dead already and cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. He preached to the Souls that new how to hear understanding. therefor if a woman makes her self male, she shall be save...
