Maybe because I discovered them on the same day (ahhh, spring 1986), I've always thought of Prefab Sprout and The Blue Nile as stylistic neighbors. Correct or not, each band is quality; please check out The Blue Nile if you're not familiar with them.

I agree with you. Prefab and the Blue Nile are two of my favorites bands. Both with a high level of music production. Personally, I like Hats and a Walk Across the Rooftops BN albums.

prefab me surprendra toujours,,,avec des accords simples ,,,la magie opère,,,excellent,,,,paddy est un magicien !!! j'adore sa voix et son elocution,,,on comprend ce qu'il dit meme quand on n'est pas doué en anglais,,,, j'ai decouvert prefab sprout en 1988,,, ça passait a la radio,, j'etais a paris,,, j'ai flashé,,,je l'ecoute toujours avec ravissement,,,, bravo a vous,,, vous n'avez pas eu la mediatisation que vous meritez,,, quelle injustice !!!quel systeme pourri !! les bras m'en tombent
