Kimberly Ruiz says she just wanted her 2 year old and 5 year old to experience the Christmas lights in Hidalgo, but instead they experienced a crime. It's a crime that put a damper on the family's Christmas spirits. Ruiz says on her way to Hidalgo Saturday evening, her family made a stop at this Wing Stop in Alamo for a bite to eat. Ruiz says her purse was sitting in the passengers side. The thief broke through the passengers side window and in jsut a few minutes had already made a purchase with Ruiz's credit card. The thief made those purchases at a gas pump. Ruiz says she reported her credit card stolen but not before the thief racked up almost $200 in gas purchases. Alamo Police Chief Arturo Espinosa says investigators are still working to identify the purse snatcher. Ruiz says she hopes others learn from her mistake.
