Target practice with some CAS weaponry. I know, I'm slow.

Winchester 1897 pump action shotgun, a sawed-off shotgun (internal hammers,no ejectors, safety switch), a .45 Winchester 1866 Yellow Boy (no short strokes or other lame-ass mods) and some semi-custom .45 Colt SAA in my dad's hands.

  • im just curious what r u shooting at

  • metal plates. these were relatively small round ones, if I remember correctly.

  • nice shooting, mate. nice guns too. im pretty amateur with guns (especially oldies) could you tell me, whats the typical magazine capacity on a winchester 1866? great vid btw, 5/5

  • Because the magazine is under the actual barrel, the capacity depends on the barrel length. At least in the replicas it's 10+1 for 18"-20" barrels and 13+1 for anything longer. The 16" trapper rifles usually hold 9+1. Can't remember if the '66 was made that short though. The originals also might have different capacities.

  • I see you just slam-fired there.

  • Yep, that's exactly what happened. Didn't have the motory function of loading the chamber with the left hand and pulling the trigger with my right hand down correctly and ka-plow. I'm getting more precise and faster every time I train though, so stay tuned for some updated material.

  • I love those 97 Winchesters, nothing wrong with a slam fire every now and then. I wish I had one of those Chinese reproductions by IAC. I can't find any now though, just distributers that have the Cimarron model instead, and I'm not paying $200 dollars more for a shotgun without the IAC upgrades (like being able to dry fire). I've got an original Winchester with the 30" full choke, but the takedown feature doesn't work, which is fine because I don't plan on shooting it anyway. 1866 is nice too!

  • ah, i see. thanks very much :D
