Just like the title says. I put the German lyrics and an EXACT translation. This is NOT the English lyrics.
Note: for all you people saying "rette" is "rescue me" and not "save me", it doesn't matter.
RETTE = v. rescue, bring through, save the life of (a sick person), help in a time of trouble, retrieve, recover, save, salvage, save from destruction, deliver from danger, free from risk, salve; redeem, deliver from sin

Honestly, I'd say you did a pretty good job translating and I don't see many people trying. You put forth an effort to show your love for this song. It's absolutely beautiful. Don't worry about the mistakes, if they already know what it means they wouldn't need this page, they could enjoy the official video :)

As much as i love this song, it makes me laugh at some peoples over analysis on it haha. If you really like this music learn german best advice i am going to try and be a translator... German is truly the coolest language ever and it makes me laugh that ive only been learning since sept 2010 and dont need the english translation

Their songs are so touching, I love the german lyrics...the meaning just disappears in the english...thats why I learned to speak German in the first place..
