ahh i have to miss inform you but AIM was not officially organized at the time of this occupation. i was a child who spent the entire 19 months on the island and later grew to be the director of all so cal aim under fern mathias. it all began in an anthropology class at sfsu and there was only two occupations the first one lasted a month. i knew richard as a young man he is one of my idles- he fought for our people and showed us a way to be young men like our ancestors to be self determined
Thats cool to know-great job, My family was and is still a large part AIM. I want to say thank you for myself and for future generations because without your efforts then we wouldnt be where we are now.
This is absolutely wonderful! Aho! Makes you proud...but the fight is not over. Let's all do our part to live together and to continue the struggle as one...all tribes. Wado very much!
thank you very much for posting this and for doing the work putting it together...i hope you got an excellent grade on this project...very thoughtful and thought provoking...

AIM had absolutely nothing, NOTHING, to do with the 1969-71 Indian occupation of Alcatraz island. Please get it straight people.
