You hate the Shah. I dont know which Shah did change the name but I think it was Reza Shah.

As a half-Azeri I prefer the name Iran for three reasons:

1. Iran describes ALL the people who live in Iran, not only the persians.

2. Iran is the land of the arians.

3. When our (beloved) country is Iran. I can say i´m a Iranian ;)
