ATCs (artist trading cards) are mini artworks, the size of a playing card (3.5"x2.5"). They are made from all sorts of things, and always traded, never sold. Artists around the world swap in person and by using online mail art sites (my 2 faves are atcsforall.com and illustratedatcs.com). Here are a few handfuls of my recent cards (2009) that are drawn and painted....I'll do another with mixed media and collage if you want to see! I have made and collected around 3000 of those since I discovered them in 2006; watch out, they are addicting! Intro music by lovezealot.com; duration music by Kevin MacLeod of Incompetech.com.

  • I just become a member a month ago...I believe, and I been asking everyone on it is there a type of rule for sizes of the trading cards...like the 3.5x2.5 or the sizes of it does matter...please let me know, I like to start creating trading cards for the site. Thanks!

  • @artistic84chick84 Yes, all ATCs are exactly those dimensions, and must fit in a clear plastic sleeve. The rest is up to you! If it's a '4x4' swap, or inchies, then those are different. But as long as it says ATC you are on the right track. Have fun!

  • were these originals that you swapped? I would not be able to part with them!!

  • Yes, all originals! I never make the same card twice. :) Thank you!

  • wow!!! These were so great. You are so talented.

  • Thank you. :)

  • I need to get back to ATCs. They are cute, don't take up much time or space, and are so much fun to swap with others. Last ones I did ended up in my Art Journal, loved them too much to swap!

  • So gorgeous. I am getting ready to do my 2nd ATC swap--the first one was so much fun!!
