World's Biggest-Ever Arms Dealer?

Viktor Bout ("The Merchant of Death") is claimed to be the biggest arms trafficker in history. He's now locked up Thailand. He's allegedly supplied arms to Groups all over the world including Marxist guerillas in Colombia, Al-CIAda and The Taliban. He is best friends Jean-Pierra Bemba (a Congolese former rebel leader now awaiting trial by the ICC on counts crimes against humanity and war crimes). But why are the USA and Russia so eager to get this guy extradited to their countries? Probably something to do with the fact that he also worked for them?

This is a great little news item that peeks into the seedy world of the International Arms Trade which helps to flood Africa (and elsewhere) with lethal killing technology.

Al Kassar may of been the dumbest. "Farc" agents, guatemalans, paid by the DEA, lured this guy into a trap by saying they were buying weapons to use against americants in Colombia when americants are in Colombia, dea, atf, cia included, with no harm coming to them in over 30 years of chaos in that country. Of course in court they played back the tape recordings of him agreeing to sell the weapons after the guatemalans said they'd be used against americants. a blind man could've see the angle.
