This quintessentially English band are a favourite of mine. They have been going for a about a quarter of a century and are famed and revered (by me) for their two fingered attitude to authority. They are also very much known for being of an anarchistic bent. It came, therefore, as something of shock to find them performing on the Letterman show. Still it is a good way for them to make their voices heard I suppose.
Incidentally, 'Tubthumping' is when an individual spouts political ideology at all and sundry (think of Speakers Corner). No idea where they got the name Chumbawamba from though!

Great song but not a good idea going on US TV and chanting for the release of a guy who shot and killed a Philadelphia policeman. Shows a severe lack of respect to the family of the guy who was shot. Shame on you ChumbaWamba
