that was a very common practice through the 1950s. As long as no one was shooting and the driver/TC knew what they were doing , no problem. That is also a VERY common Russian tactical activity.

Would like to know what unit that M-47 is representing. I served on many M-47s 1955-58 and have never seen one with external fuel tanks. M-48s had them, but not M-47s. Maybe something wrong with his fuel tanks? Also who is driving? The M-47 did not have dual controls and the driver is standing up and nowhere near the wobble stick for steering. ????
