Direct stereo recording through a simple sennheiser headphone set. Guitar sounds a bit metallic because of the noise filter and YouTube automatic compression.
Gear: Petrucci BFR + Marshall JMP1 + Art SGX 2000 through Rocktron velocity S112

  • nice job dude, took me a little bit to get this one down. come check out my version

  • Thank you. It's one of the most enjoyable solos i've ever learned. Not easy though. I'm learning Constant Motion rythm and lead sections since last week. I'll try to make a video of it soon. You might want to check back in a few weeks. I'll comment yours on your page. Good job too :)

  • it sounds like you have too much chorus on your guitar.

and petrucci makes it look easy

    you make it looks hard.

  • I didn't use chorus on this one. What you hear is two separate recordings for left and right, slightly different. This is a hard but fun solo. Thanks for comparing to Petrucci :)

  • Great man. Love your technique and it was so accurate. Sweep is very nice. 5s for you. good job

  • Thank you, i really appreciate. Next time i'll try a better recording. There are still some mistakes in there.
