Here's FDR's 1932 campaign song "Happy Days Are Here Again" being played by the absolutely first-class band, "The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra."

  • They played this song when FDR walked into the conventions. They played it after his speeches. They played it as much as possible. Awesome song.

  • So long sad times, go long bad times

we are rid of you at last, howdy gay times

cludy gray times, you are now a thing of the past

♫ Thanks for the wonderful presentation! 5*

"Happy Days Are Here Again" 1929 by Milton Ager. The song was recorded by Leo Reisman and His Orchestra, with Lou Levin and was used in the 1930 film Chasing Rainbows. The film was about Drunks, Bootlegging and Prohibition and the song was the finale, celebrating the imminent repeal of Prohibition. The great depression hit.

  • Great version of this classic song! Thanks for sharing this!

  • Indeed, a terrific band!!
