The Valentine Lodge bed and breakfast in Saugatuck has been a hostelry since the turn of the century. The Inn was originally built by sea Captain John Campbell in the late 1800s to occupy his family while he piloted ships between Saugatuck and Chicago. The inn today is an old-fashioned classic and one of the oldest-operating bed & breakfasts in Saugatuck.

The interior reflects the talents of the hostess as an artist, with more than 100 of her paintings exhibited throughout the B&B. Her paintings depict scenes of the local area and all are worthy of prominent space in any Saugatuck art gallery.

The atmosphere at the Valentine Lodge B&B is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. This ambiance is due in large part to the genial spirit of the innkeepers who operate with a light informal touch and sincere interest in the comfort of their guests.
