World League Soccer 98 [Sega Saturn] Gameplay

WLS 98 is IMO a game that had the potential for a great footie but awkward controls make it a too frustrating game at times, also it lacks presentation a bit (sucky menus, mediocre soccer atmosphere etc) yet it's still a decent title to play.

this game is totally different from wws games and was only released in europe in 1998

This was a completely different game from the world wide soccer series. It was released only in Europe.

OMG. This game had the greatest shooting ever. You could curl the ball like crazy. I remember playing this on PC with my Sidewinder gamepad.

i felt this was a new version of olympic soccer when i used to play the demo. you can tell cos if u hold back you can lift the ball so high. something which hugely plagued swws on the DC, which was silicon dreams (as is this i believe).

Okay, scratch that. I figured out this was a different soccer title. Oops. However, this is extremely impressive. Most third-party Saturn games in the West were terrible.

Hmm...I'm confused. This is not the Worldwide Soccer '98 that appeared in the US. This looks like a different game, or perhaps a different edition of the Japanese series. The US version of WWS '98 was nearly identical to WWS '97, but with a few more stadiums and a second color commentator, who always sounded like he was drunk off his ass. Interesting.
