A question and answer session given by Brother Hassanain Rajabali at Stony Brook University (in USA), questions asked are regarding Shia/Sunni Unity, and some of the Shia Practices

It is important to note that Brother Hassanain
has stressed on the importance of an academic discussion, where people are open minded, as we all have our own opinions, and if someone is unaware, then we should araise their awareness through pleasant discussion, anyone who is keen on bickering (arguing pointlessly) should be ignored.

A call for Shia/Sunni dialogue, why and how:

  • Lostprophet, If you really want to know who your true freinds are ask people who are there enemies if you really wanto know who your enemies are ask your true freinds.

I heard a wise man once say this and it rang true even today.

  • Thank you for sharing.

    Iltemase Doa.

  • His comments heard 10:00-11:00 in this video creates disunity with the muslim people because the actions he is calling for is self improvement NOT Amirbilnaruf. It is very dangerous to confuse these two concepts and meanings clearly somthing he did unintentional or intentionally regardless he is at fault, but careless nonetheless.

  • You misunderstood what he said brother, he is merely saying that it is pointless to openly call to Islam when you yourself are not practicing what your calling to, not that you 'shouldn't'.

Reminds me of the Hadith of the 6th Imam where he says "Call to the people with your good actions and not just your words".

    Peace.

  • This guys panting to the emotions of the two sects like a game, or balancing a bank account, all in all he's munafiq hypocrite and has no right talking about this sensitive matters when he himself doesn't practice.

  • Out of curiosity, what do you mean when you say he "doesn't practice" and on what basis do you call him a hypocrite?

  • Ahmedinijad,despite being a "shiate",took a stand for a "sunni" country(Palestine).

No other sunni leader did! This shows muslim unity.I am a "sunni" but I prefer to call myself a muslim as this reduces any possibilities of differentiation.I love Ahmedinijad for his courage and his love for muslim brothers/sisters worldwide.

  • Its not too hard to believe because in battle of siffin 120000 "sahaba" fought thier caliph, Ali (as) so the same thing happened when the prophet died alot of people rejected Ali(as) eventhough they knew he should have the power. plus the ahlulbayt were supporting eachother unlike the "sahaba" e.g. Abbas and Ali (as) came as witnesses for Fatima (as) for Fadak against Abu bakr.

  • it seems that we have lots of enemies, brothers and sisters do not replay to what they say becasue they looking for someone to replay so they fight with them

  • @dpremi1126 stop there if u have a problem with your self go and solve it ur self and dont get into the shia and sunni part, in the end we all are muslims and i believe we all happy with it

  • Bros and sisters dont let the enemy of Islam divide us, Shia or Sunni we are all Muslims. If we love our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) we should seek the common ground and grow our relationship from it and not let others brand us differently - United we stand Divided we fell. Peace and love each other like bros and sisters.

  • am not trying to be rud or mean but it they are couple of worlds, if u dont new imam ali u dont new ur religion. wasalam

  • This is the difference between Shia lectures and sunni .. sunni lectures brain wash young brothers and sister into hating shias and treat us like we are not human , while shia lectures are trying to bring us together and be united as muslims,

  • Remember all muslim brothers...The Kufr' will not want us to unite...So please...Put your differences aside and love each other like muslim brothers/sisters

  • Please watch this with patience. Beware O my dear muslims! Here are Ibn Taiymiya's(who is considered Sheikh ul Islam by Wahabis) opinion of Syedatu Nisa Al A'lameen Fatima daughter of The Holy Prophet of Islam. And a reply to those who believe Syeda did NOT get angry with the First Caliph and that she did not talk to him all her life. Replies made by Ayatullah Syed Kamal Haydari from Sahih books from our brothers of Ahl Al Sunna.
