Geweldige tijd! If I could turn back time...

mrvoorn I was one of the people that cheered you that night and totally agree with everything you said ,It was supposed to be a mixing competition not a scratching comp.I blame Paul Hardcastle lol

@Mcawsome7 Full force alice + whistle just buggin + Doug e fresh the show

Orlando Voorn also said that anybody could do what DJ Cheese did, which he tried the year after with a somewhat pale imitation of some of the DJ Cheese tricks like the handcuffs some really awefull scratching (Whats your name...dj fix...)and a outfit taken straight from the furious 5 during their leather period =)
That said his 86 mix was awesome
-
Yo, whats the first song that he plays?
-
oh gosh....all this time i thought i was like looking for 88 rare mixes when it was 86 majors --- damn too old..
@ Fukademous, indeed i grabbed the mic out of Tony Prince his hand, and guess what buddy he still remember's it and get's angry about it.lol..Dj Cheese was a hell of a scratcher but that was not my point at the time. I did some scratching too but mixed more as they called it Disco Mix Championship so that's why i made that comment and got aplauded for it by many people since Dj Cheese did not mix one record. After that they should've changed the name to DISCO SCRATCH CLUB since nobody mixed;)

The DMC DJ Championship started at DMC's first DJ Convention in London in 1985. A young Londoner called Roger Johnston won the first event .
It took America's DJ Cheese in 1986 to bring the best out of the turntables by scratching his way to DMC's first ever World Title. An unhappy runner-up, Holland's Orlando Voorn grabbed the mic from the events MC and founder Tony Prince and bellowed the immortal word's "What is this, a Mixing Competition or a Scratching Competition?"

Actually Tony Prince asked Orlando did he have a few words he would like to mention in which he did!
