Red Skelton~ The Littlest Christmas Tree

I have enjoyed this skit since I was little. Mom played it every year on our record player!! I am sooo grateful to my brother for finding this recording for me!! I love the memories it brings up! I love the message! I love the history & knowing that iron curtain is now gone!! Most of all I love Jesus for blessing me with such wonderful memories of my childhood!!

I do not own the skit presened or the pictures! This is posted only as a tribute to great works & awesome memories!!

My mom owned this record and played it every year for me at my request also. Oh how I wish I still had that album but at least I hound it on mp3, It brings back so many precious memories of my childhood.

@MyAppleWorld My brother found it on a mp3 site. Not sure which one, though. He found it when he was working as a dj. My Mom does still have the record. I'm hoping to get the equipment it takes to transfer it, & many other records she has, to cd's.

my brother and I listened to this with our parents every year....the first time i played it for my husband he just cried! poor fellow! this is definitely a favorite!

Wow, I had forgotten all about this. Thanks for posting. We should all pass this along. Makes me really wonder how many of our kids remember what the "Iron Curtain" was. But the message still stands true today.

My oldest daughter is almost 6 years old, and LOVED this. She keeps asking about the iron curtain, and I try to explain the best I can to her. She came back to me and said, "Thank God we are blessed." Thanks for this posting. It was great to share it with my family. Merry Christmas!

I have been looking for this for almost 30 years....our house burned when I was little and we lost the album. My brothers and I wanted our children to grow up with this, but I was told it couldn't be bought because the Cold War was over. I am so happy to have this. It's midnight and I've been on the phone calling my family. Only sad that I was so excited to find it that I overlooked the express shipping!

I was so happy and grateful to find this on YouTube. My parents bought this album for me when I was a baby. It was a tradition every year to listen to this. A couple of years ago my mother gave me this album to take home, and a few months later my house burned to the ground, and I lost this gem. I thought I would never hear Red Skelton recite these magical words that never fail to bring tears to my eyes during the holiday season. Thank you so much for posting this timeless treasure!
