My father had seen this film in a New York cinema,while he was waiting for his ship,in the late '50s... One of the most tender, moving films I have ever watched... The biography of the famous musician, Red Nichols-played by the unforgetable Danny Kaye. Two beautiful scenes from Melville Shavelson's film with Danny Kaye, the -so sweet- Louis Armstrong and little Susan Gordon...

@lostingreece Παλαιότερα ούτε κι εγώ έβρισκα, αλλά σε μια πιό πρόσφατη αναζήτηση είδα πως υπάρχουν αρκετές πιά ανεβασμένες στο youtube, χωρίς βέβαια τους ελληνικούς υπότιτλους, τί κρίμα!

Just got the soundtrack to The Five Pennies today. I wanted to get a copy of it on CD, while CDs are still in existence! Susan Gordon was wonderful in this film.
