Added my two red oscars couple of days ago. Also in tank is my albino bristlenose catfish and 18 odd danios I used for cycling my tank (dont expect them to stay much longer tho)

Tank runs on two Eheim 2217 filters, 2 Eheim Jager 300w heaters, 400l/h powerhead just to add a current and added oxygen to my tank. Tank is decorated with 100kg of silica sand as substrate, 11kg of driftwood (3 pieces making up a cave for my bristlenose). Attached to the driftwood is some Java Fern...and hornwort floating on the surface...

Anything else...feel free to ask

  • beautiful...how hard is sAND TO MAINTAIN?

  • @jasongood100

i'm gonna lie to you if i say its easier than gravel...but, i positioned a powerhead in the bottom corner of my tank which created a nice current. By placing a few pieces of driftwood in certain positions i got most of their droppings to settle in one place as they broke the current in the tank. Weekly siphoning and the sand looked rather good by "oscar" standards

  • 240p we meet again

  • @aquatiqueDR They will grow alot bigger!~

  • .... they got space...

  • Probably one of my favorite parts of fishkeeping, getting a massive new tank cycled and ready then you put a couple of baby cichlids in. One day you know they'll fill the tank but right now they look like 2 little dots on a whiteboard.

  • update video?

  • Nice looking tank

  • do you need filters like you have or would the ones you just place on work?

  • Are Eheim 2217 filters really good as they say? I saw alot of videos with them. How much do they cost?

    THANKS AND NICE TANK!

  • need more fish, cool tank
