@megacaviagek - No, they are purely cosmetic. You can enchant them, though, which is kind of useful for increasing your stats etc.

I haven't really had many ideas lately. There are a couple of things I'd like to do in Fallout 3, but sadly the recording software I use has died since installing Windows 7, which makes things even more awkward.

CPU: AMD Athlon64 4600 (dual core), Video: GeForce 7600, RAM: 4GB, OS: Windows 2000.

4GB is probably overkill for win32 here, mostly it's for image editing in Linux which is 64-bit.

I have also run Oblivion on a 64-bit Windows 7 RC. It ran somewhat smoother, but I got bored with it when it demanded activation and went back to 2000.

I'll have to try it under Linux again, it was a little buggy this time last year (but would have made video capture easier).
