there are a few RVL sets with two Comet Vs cabs or trailers

Most certainly, if you minus the first comet V cab, it would be an RVL set. I wouldn't be surprised if this was once on the RVL(on diesel power of course)

I do agree with that. If you took out both the first comet V & middle comet IV, this would definitely be an RVL set.
