@WX5G Im glad Pontiac name is not being used, all it was used for is Rebaged Chevy and Holden Imports, real Pontiac are made by PMD, everything else is Chevy with Pontiac and Holden skins. I don't like Fake or Import no matter how fast it is!

song says in the year 2025 (actually 2525) if man is still alive, if woman can survive then the new version of the GTO (those that are left and with less than 50,000 miles on them) will be worth 3 to 4 times what they were purchased especially if they are in original condition with matching numbers....but that's if and it wouldn't suprise me if GM brings back the GTO as the GM GTO ............Any truth to rumors that Chevy wants to introduce the old Pontiac G8 as the new Chevy Caprice ?

The Monaro body style was the only futuristic body style to come close to the 71 Judge. Detroit could tool fast enough so Bob Lutz went with the Aussie's body style. Old schoolers did like it but said as far as performance for a "stock production muscle car" that it was quicker from 0 to 60 than the 64-71 Detroit version of the GTO. The "if" variables

Nice Monaro... I think Holden's do better burnouts than Fords do!

Just an FYI, there was never a 6 cylinder GTO offered. 04's were stock with a 5.7L LS1 and the 05-06 came with the 6.0L LS2. I think you are confusing the 6.0L with 6 cylinder
If it had the scoops as shown above he had the V8 ;-)
